Bejenescu-Babușanu Ștefan - Software at TechTrax

Bejenescu-Babușanu Ștefan

Software TechTrax

Turning equations into machines that think. I am a Computer Science and Engineering student at the University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB), with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and autonomous systems. My academic and research interests lie at the intersection of learning, decision-making, control, and simulation, with an emphasis on building systems that are both mathematically grounded and practically deployable. I have contributed to and co-authored research papers in applied machine learning and intelligent systems, gaining experience in formulating research questions, designing experiments, analyzing results, and communicating findings in an academic setting. My work often blends classical methods—such as optimization, probabilistic modeling, and control—with modern ML techniques, including reinforcement learning and data-driven approaches. Alongside research, I have built complex, end-to-end software systems, ranging from simulation environments and algorithmic prototypes to production-oriented platforms. I am particularly interested in autonomous navigation, perception-informed decision-making, and the software architectures that enable intelligent agents to operate in structured and unstructured environments. Within team-based and lab settings, I value rigor, clarity, and collaboration. I enjoy working in multidisciplinary environments, iterating on ambitious ideas, and pushing projects beyond proofs of concept toward robust, well-engineered solutions. My long-term goal is to contribute to impactful research in AI, particularly in areas such as: learning systems that interact with the physical world, multi-agent orchestration and multimodal general intelligence.
